TIMESAUSTRALIA, JAKARTA – The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) appointed Simon McMenemy as Senior National Team Coach. This appointment of the Scottish coach was revealed by PSSI Deputy Chairman, Joko Driyono, Thursday (20/12/2018) in Jakarta.

In addition to appointing Simon McMenemy, PSSI decided Indra Sjafri to become the U-23 National Team Coach and the Milky Way as coach of the U-16 National Team.

Simon McMenemy was the architect of the league club 1 Bhayangkara FC before being appointed as the senior National Team Coach. The 41 years old coach was able to bring Bhayangkara FC became the champion of League 1 in 2017.

In the 1st League of the 2018 season, Simon McMenemy brought The Guardian (Bhayangkara FC) in 3rd position of League 1.

A number of clubs have been led by the man born in Aberdeen, Scotland, including Mitra Kukar, Pelita Bandung Raya, and Loyola Meralco Sparks. Simon McMenemy also has coached the Philippine National Team in the 2010 AFF Cup. (*)
